Voice training for dmCalls
After reading this section you will be able to:
- Use the Voice Training facility on your phone alone
- Use the Voice Training web page in conjunction with your phone
Voice Training can be used to test the recognition the dmCalls Voice Activated Dialler (VAD) gets when matching your voice against the entries in your address book. So you can use this Training facility to fine tune entries in your Address Book. It can be used on the phone alone or in conjunction with the dmCalls Voice Training web page.
Using phone only
1 Login into your account using the phone by dialling an access number, then if necessary enter your account number and PIN.
2 Push *, 8 to enter the training mode
3 You will hear the message "Training mode - say your dial command after the prompt".
4 Say your command following the tone, as if you were calling someone (Call - Contact - Location, e.g. "Call Alexander Graham Bell Office"), followed by the # key.
5 dmCalls will then replay what it recorded your spoken command to be.
6 It will then tell you whether the Voice Activated Dialler obtained GOOD, MEDIOCRE or INSUFFICIENT recognition of your command.
7 You will also be told who dmCalls would have phoned from your list of contacts in your Address Book, if there was sufficient recognition.
8 To return to command mode push the * key on your phone.
Using phone and the voice training web page
1 Log into your clubhouse, and click on your dmCalls account number
2 Select "Voice training" from the menu
3 If you click on "Address list" link in the voice training page it opens another screen showing a complete list of the contacts included in your address book for your reference.
4 Follow steps 1-4 above in the "Using phone only" section
5 Click the "Update" button on the voice training web page after hearing the tone following your spoken command.
6 This screen will then display the time of your training call and who it thought most likely that you wanted to call. The percentage certainty it obtained when recognising your command and whether it was sure enough to connect the call are also shown, along with any 2nd and 3rd choice matches the system may have made.
