Don't like the "Robot Voice"?
To give a professional impression to your callers, we recommend having a voiceover artist record prompts for your switchboard - and maybe even outgoing message for voicemail.
With the Prompt Studio, it's easy to record your own prompts - either in the browser or uploading wav files recorded elsewhere (so you can use your own voice artist if you have one). However, we do have a tame voiceover artist, called Lucy, who we rate very highly. Here are some examples of her voice: [voice gallery TBD June 2018]

The Process
For dmSwitchboard12
- Set up your switchboard with the prompts you require (it will use the robot voice)
- Use the Prompt Studio to generate a "Manifest" - which you can then markup (eg. with non-obvious pronounciations)
- Send the manifest to support@dmclub.net
- We will price up the work (clarifying any points that need it) and create an order for you.
- You pay the order
- We send the job to Lucy
- Lucy sends us the files
- We upload the files to the relevant places - at this point the new prompts are "live"
- You can listen to the prompts to check
- We can fix any issues (very unusual)
- Job done
For dmConnect12
This is generally just an Outgoing Message (OGM)
- Send us an email containing the text of the OGM - with any clarification on pronounciations.
- We will price up the work (clarifying any points that need it) and create an order for you.
- You pay the order
- We send the job to Lucy
- Lucy sends us the files
- We upload the files to the relevant places - at this point the new prompts are "live"
- You can listen to the prompts to check
- We can fix any issues (very unusual)
- Job done
