Using the dmCalls address book
After reading this section you will be able to:
- Edit a contact in your address book
- Delete a contact
- Add a speed dial
- Remove or change a speed dial
- Use the autoadd wizard
- To add a contact to your Address Book see the Getting Started section. The following covers additional features of your address book.
Editing a contact
1 Log into your clubhouse and click on your dmCalls number
2 Select "Address book" from the menu
3 This takes you to the "My address book" screen
4 Click on the name of the contact that you wish to edit
5 This will take you to the "Address book entry" screen.
6 In this screen you can change any details by overtyping or deleting existing information including speed dials. You can create additional or delete existing phone numbers for each contact.
7 Click "Ok" when you have finished. This will take you back to the My Address Book screen where you will be able be view the changes you have made in your full list of contacts.
Deleting a contact
1 Click on the name of the contact you wish to delete in the "My address book" screen (see 1.1 above to get to My Address Book screen)
2 This will take you to the "Address book entry" screen.
3 Click the "Delete" button. This will take you back to My Address Book and the entry you have deleted will have disappeared from your list of contacts.
Adding a speed dial
Note that speed dials can only be allocated to a specific phone number appearing in one of either the home, office or mobile slots and not to a contact in general.
1 Click on the name of the contact in you wish to add a speed dial to in "My address book" (see 1.1 above to get to the "My address book" screen)
2 Decide on a speed dial number you want to use from 1-99 (NOTE: only speed dials 1-9 can be used for direct speed dial access)
3 Type in the number of the speed dial in the field next to the telephone number headed by the orange box marked SD.
4 Click "Ok" when you have finished. This will take you back to the "My address book" screen where you will see the speed dial appear highlighted in orange.
Adding a speed dial to a number will allow you to use touch tone and voice activated speed dialling as well as direct speed dial access (speed dials 1-9 only) for that particular number. To find out about using speed dials see our dialling and access sections
To remove or change a speed dial
Follow the procedure in section 1 above (editing a contact) and simply delete or overtype the speed dial entry - then click "OK".
Using the auto add wizard
This facility enables you to quickly and easily add any numbers to your address book you may have called using touch tone dialling.
1 In the "My address book" screen click the "Autoadd" button.
2 This takes you to the "My address book wizard" screen.
3 Any numbers you have dialled (using touch tone dialling) that aren't already in your address book will appear listed in this screen.
4 If the contact for this number is not already in your address book then type in the contact name.
5 Or if the number belongs to a contact who is already entered into your address book then click on the button next to the name field. This will open a window with a drop down menu showing all the contacts already in your address book.
6 Click on the contact name that you wish to add the number to.
7 Select a location (home, office or mobile) from the drop down menu.
8 Click the "Add to address book" button.
