Using a dmConnect12 number within a dmSwitchboard12 plan
dmConnect12 comes with its own "Personal Switchboard" which controls the logic of call handling. This is a cut-down version of dmSwitchboard12 (which adds team and reception extensions).
However, it can also be used as part of a full dmSwitchboard12:
Users who have a dmSwitchboard12 service can use their dmConnect12 number as a means to provide direct dial access to a reception, team or personal extension. This is known as a DDI (Direct Dial Inwards). This is not a feature that is controlled by the dmConnect12 service itself, but instead one must configure a plan in the dmSwitchboard account to use the number as a DDI.
The dmSwitchboard12 divert tab will give details of the current use of the dmConnect12 number when it is being used in this mode.
If you then divert the dmConnect12 number using its own control, it will result in a change to the dmSwitchboard12 service that might cause confusion among your callers.
